Upcycling Workshop: Learn • Reuse • Create
About this Event
Discover how creativity and sustainability can come together to give clothing and other materials a second life.
Join the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, Apl.de.Ap Foundation International, and Upcyclers.com for a special Upcycling Workshop in celebration of Filipino American History Month.
This hands-on workshop will explore how upcycling can help reduce fashion waste while transforming creativity into opportunities for entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. Participants will learn from experienced upcyclers, see creative techniques in action, and take part in reimagining materials into something new.
The program will feature:
- Hands-on upcycling demonstrations and activities
- A fireside chat with guest upcyclers
- Opportunities to learn about sustainable fashion and creative entrepreneurship
- A showcase of creations produced during the workshop
A Special Collaboration
The event will also feature select pieces from Apl.de.Ap’s clothing collection, reimagined by participating upcyclers into one-of-a-kind creations.
Selected finished pieces will be made available for purchase through Upcyclers.com, with proceeds supporting the programs of the Apl.de.Ap Foundation International.
Whether you are interested in fashion, sustainability, Filipino creativity, or simply want to learn something new, we invite you to spend the day learning, reusing, and creating with us.
Participation is free, but advance registration is required due to limited space.
