Upcycled Terrarium Workshop
Advertisement
This hands-on workshop invites participants to create self-sustaining terrariums using upcycled containers while exploring the science of ecosystems, water cycles, and plant biology.
Participants will transform everyday materials—glass jars, bottles, and found objects—into living artworks, learning how natural systems function in miniature.
Participants will:
--> Understand how a closed ecosystem functions
--> Explore the water cycle (evaporation → condensation → precipitation)
--> Learn the role of soil microbes and decomposition
--> Practice design thinking using repurposed materials
--> Build awareness of sustainable material use and upcycling
--> Create and take home a living terrarium
