Come and join the ReCreators to learn about sewing and upcycled fashion design.
Kids of all genders are welcome to come and create with us. Parents are welcome to stay.
Learn to make a bag or a mini skirt. You will also learn about how to repurpose the off cuts from your projects into fashion items.
This workshop is for pre-teens and teens who have had a bit of sewing machine experience or show a keen interest in sewing..
Basic knowledge of sewing is required.
We will provide the fabric and materials
Note:
Please bring your own sewing machine, scissors and pins ( If you have supplies) !!!! Please bring your own lunch and a water bottle.
This workshop is run by The ReCreators.
The Re-Creators are on a mission to teach New Zealand how to upcycle, reduce, and reuse our resources, to share skills in reimagining 'waste' as creative opportunities! It's not only creative and sustainable but also easy and fun too!
We invite you to join us in our skills-based workshops that empowers communities to experience the joy of upcycling, all while helping our planet and pocket by reusing materials that already exist.
The ReCreators will be following all government Covid guidelines including that all participants will need to:
- wear facemasks
- socially distance
