Upcycled Apron Workshop
About this Event
Give a well-loved dress shirt a second life in this creative and sustainable sewing workshop. Participants will learn how to repurpose a dress shirt into a stylish, practical apron while exploring the principles of upcycling and textile waste reduction, as well as adding new sewing skills to your repertoire!
Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, this hands-on session covers basic sewing techniques, pattern adaptation, fabric cutting and creative customization. By the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with a unique apron and the skills to continue transforming unwanted clothing into useful everyday items.
Bring a clean dress shirt from home (should be a large, men's sized shirt) or choose from a selection of shirts provided at the workshop. All additional materials and tools will be supplied.
