About this Event
Fancy giving a new lease of life to an old pair of jeans or a denim skirt? Wishing to customise your light canvas jacket or a blouse to make it truely unique?
In this beginner friendly class you will have an opportunity to upcycle your clothes using lovely decorative sashiko stitching. Bring a garment of your choice (a pair of trousers, a skirt, a light jacket, a shirt or a blouse) made from a woven fabric (could be denim, but also other cotton or even linen). We provide everything else: specialist cotton thread, needles, scissors, sashiko stencils, heat erasable markers, as well as some light refreshments.
Spend a relaxing morning stitching and leave with an old piece of clothing remade into something one of a kind. Good for you and for the environment. Hope to see you there!
