Dave Thompson is the original Tinky Winky from the global television phenomenon Teletubbies, the purple icon who helped launch one of the most successful children's shows in television history. As the first performer to bring the character to life, Dave appeared in the original series and became part of one of the most talked-about stories in British television, with his departure from the show making headlines around the world. Today, audiences can finally hear the hilarious behind-the-scenes stories of life inside television's most famous purple costume.
While many people first recognize him as Tinky Winky, Dave has spent more than four decades building a reputation as one of Britain's most original stand-up comedians.
