Up On 20 Rooftop Cigar Event

The weather is warming up in New York City and you know what that means... our rooftop cigar events are back!

On Wednesday, May 15th at 7pm we're hosing our first rooftop cigar event of 2024 at Up On 20 at Hyatt Herald Square, conveniently located steps away from Manhattan's 34th St. transportation hub and featuring panoramic views of Manhattan's skyline.

At the event, guests will receive two cigars from HVC, one of the most popular craft cigar brands currently on the market. The first is the HVC 500th Anniversary Salamones, a stunning cigar featuring a Corojo 99 wrapper. The second is the HVC Hot Cake, which features dark, lush flavors produced by a Mexican San Andres wrapper. Neither is a cigar to miss, and we're excited to give everyone in attendance the opportunity to sample both - we suggest beginning with the 500 Years Anniversary and continuing on to the Hot Cake.

At the event, we'll also be joined by Protetta, makers of some of the most beautiful hand-made ash trays on the market who will elevate the atmosphere with their stunning artwork and have trays for sale.

For 24 hours, a limited number of tickets are $30 online. After that, $40 online and $50 at door.

The HVC Hot Cake cigar is encased in a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper with a Nicaraguan Corojo '99 binder from Jalapa and fillers that include Nicaraguan tobacco and Corojo 2006 Maduro leaf. It delivers tasting notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and spice, beginning slightly above medium strength and progressing to full bodied as it is smoked.

The HVC 500th Anniversary cigar is crafted to commemorate the founding of Havana, utilizing Aganorsa Leaf tobacco. It features a Corojo 99 wrapper and binder both sourced from Jalapa, along with a filler blend of Criollo 98 and Corojo 99 grown in Jalapa and Esteli. This combination aims to capture the essence of Havana and features rich, chewy, textured smoke.
