Unveiling the Montessori Mind: Neuroscience Insights by Dr. Denervaud

Barcelona Montessori School proudly invites our community to celebrate our 10th anniversary with a special lecture by Dr. Solange Denervaud. Dr. Denervaud is an AMI-certified Montessori (ages 6–12) educator turned developmental cognitive neuroscientistcibm.ch. She earned her PhD in neuroscience at Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV-UNIL)cibm.ch and now uses EEG and MRI to study how Montessori classrooms influence children’s brain developmentcibm.ch.

In her pioneering research, Dr. Denervaud compares Montessori-educated children with peers in traditional schools. Her findings are truly inspiring: Montessori children often outperform their peers in creativity, well-being, and academic achievement, even when measures of raw executive function are similarmontessoripublic.org.
