Science-backed strength advice for midlife women. Featuring Loretta Hogg, collaborator with world-renowned Dr Stacy Sims. ChCh, 17 June 2026
About this Event

Whether you're navigating the menopause transition or well beyond it, one thing is certain, the next decades can be your strongest yet if you have the right tools.

This is an evening for women who want to build a body that works for them - strong, capable, and full of energy - not just today, but for years to come.

At the heart of the evening is Loretta Hogg

Loretta is a high-performance strength and conditioning coach, MSpEx (First Class Hons) & NZSCA Level 3 S&C Coach. She collaborates with world-renowned women's health physiologist Dr Stacy Sims, and provides the strength and conditioning component of New Zealand elite mid-distance runner Sam Tanner's "learn to run" programme.

Loretta's passion for women's health is both personal and deeply informed by research. She is committed to helping women thrive at every stage of life, and she brings the science to back it up.

What you'll take away from this evening:

  • Why strength training is one of the most important things you can do as you age, and how to start (or level up) wherever you are right now
  • How to maintain and build muscle, bone density, and confidence, now and for decades to come
  • Strategies to get more from your workouts, reduce injury risk, and actually enjoy moving your body
  • Practical, actionable advice tailored to your life and fitness level
  • A live Q&A - bring your questions and get real answers directly from Loretta

This event is for you if:

✔ You're curious about strength training but don't know where to start

✔ You want to feel stronger, more energised, and more confident in your body

✔ You're already active and want to train smarter through menopause and beyond

✔ You want to age powerfully, independently, vibrantly, and well

This live conversation is hosted by Brenda Bickerstaff, founder of Simply Nourish, Nutrition & Menopausal Transition Support. It's more than a talk — it's a celebration of women embracing strength, movement, and vitality for the long game.
