Classroom Chaos:
Classroom Chaos is a fast, funny, and unpredictable one-person comedy show inspired by prompts written by middle school students. Their wild ideas come to life through outrageous characters, surprising stories, and nonstop laughs. Every performance is different, packed with energy, creativity, and fun for all ages.

Local Spot:
Formed in 2015, Local Spot uses an audience member’s favorite color to create a show place entirely in one location, at one time, with no edits, jumps, cuts, or other improv trickery. Performers are forced to live with the decisions they’ve made for the entire show without the ability to escape in an edit. Expect a character- and emotion-driven show in which anything can happen, and the improvisers have to deal with it.

What is an improv show, exactly?

Improv is live theater created spontaneously by the performers with the inspiration of the audience. Unless noted otherwise, it’s a comedy show, made even more exciting, intriguing, and hilarious by the fact that none of it is pre-scripted! At an improv show you’ll see a wide range of creative and fascinating humans perform a highwire act by making comedy out of thin air! It can take many forms, including short competitive games, slice of life scenes, and full length sitcom or movie style performances!

The Highwire Center is Highwire Improv's home base in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore! Part of Highlandtown Main Street and the Highlandtown Arts District, The Highwire Center is home to classes, free workshops, shows, community events, corporate training, and more! The Highwire Center is accessible, with ramp access available, an ADA restroom, and flat transit throughout the space.
