January 12, starting at 7! We are so thrilled to announce a new series at DW, “Unruly Voices,” created by Heather Kays (@heather_kays)In her own words:
“A night of poetry that challenges the status quo and the systems that created it. Come hear these unique, sharp, bright voices speak hard and heartfelt truths.”
The first show will feature Edie Roberts (@squabtastic), Joss Barton (@ganjacum_ ), Olli Sure (@tsandabundant) and Heather Kays. Each in their own way uniquely powerful voices, with the craft to go along to give their work extra depth. Get your feels ready for this, you’ll be all up in them, I promise.
Following the featured poets is an open mic, so bring your own notebook/smartphone notes app/or back of a receipt you scribbled a few inspired verses on during a quick flash of inspiration!
