About this Event

Experience a thrilling journey through the genesis of UK coding history! Don't miss out on our 3rd annual trip to the iconic Bletchley Park.

Last year was amazing, but this year we're stepping it up a notch, as we’ll be visiting The National Museum of Computing too! You'll have the unique opportunity to mingle with some of the most brilliant minds in coding from the Coding Black Females community as we journey together.

At the park, delve into the world of the first UK coders and computing, get inspired by their tales of innovation and resilience. This isn't just a tour - it's an immersion into the rich tapestry of coding history. It's an adventure into the past, present and future of coding.

The plan for the day

  • 9 am - Meet at London Euston
  • 1 0.30am - Arrive at The National Museum of Computing
  • 12.30pm - Lunch delivered from Eagles Jerk & Grill @Bletchley Park
  • 1:30pm - Visit Bletchley Park
  • 2:30pm - Guided tour of the history of codebreaking and the enigma machine
  • 3 .30pm - Take a look at more of the museums (or relax)
  • 5pm - Head back to London

We’ll meet at London Euston train station at 9am before taking the train up to the National Museum of Computing. For those making their own way to the museum, please meet us there at 10.30am. If you are coming from outside London please let us know in the form.

We'll then have two hours to explore The National Museum of Computing and learn about all things computing! We will make our way to Bletchley Park (5min walk) where lunch will be delivered by Eagles Jerk and Grill at 12.30pm.

After a lovely lunch we will have some more time to explore Bletchley Park - you might want to take a look at their new museum on data and intelligence. At 2.30pm we will be guided on a special tour and learn about the history of codebreaking and the first coders in the UK. Lastly we will have some more free time to check out anything you might have missed, or just chill in the grounds, before taking the train back to London Euston. We expect to be back in London by roughly 6pm.

Children and families are welcome, don't let this opportunity slip away. The countdown has begun - we’re excited to see you there!
