Unravel: Fall Dance Performance & Visual Arts Collaboration

Psychology Today recently noted, “To be human is to carry emotional knots.” Inspired by this, CoSA Dance and CoSA Visual Art collaborated to create Unravel, a performance and exhibition exploring the mental and emotional knots tied by stress, grief, and mental disorders, and how mindfulness and art can untangle them. On December 13 and 14 at 7:00pm, the Coronado Performing Arts Center will showcase original dances and artwork reflecting themes like OCD, ADHD, and self-talk. One key dance, “Love and Armor” by CoSA Dance Director Gina Bolles Sorensen, explores parent-child relationships. The event includes a student art exhibition focused on mental health practices, in collaboration with Safe Harbor Coronado, local nonprofit supporting community well-being.
