Instead of our regular Film Club discussion, we'll be doing something special on Tuesday, August 11: History, myth, literature, and the new Christopher Nolan film: Harry Campion and John Monaghan taught The Odyssey for nearly 20 years at Grosse Pointe South. This presentation will rely heavily on Campion's knowledge of Greek art and Mythology, while Monaghan, a film historian and former Detroit Free Press film critic, will discuss the work of director Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Dunkirk, Oppenheimer) and how this story aligns with his previous films.
