UNOFFICIAL FRINGE OPENING PARTY: HOSTED BY THE CAST OF 86 ME

Join us in The Jamii Hub @ The Berkeley Castle on Saturday Jun 29th at 8:30 PM for a night of live music and good company! Enjoy performances from rad band Club Cadetta, a live DJ, karaoke, giant lite brite, themed drinks, a raffle draw, interactive activities, and more!

Tired of your director yelling at you? Are you a non-Fringe artist in the city or arts patron just looking to have some fun? Fringe lovers, casts and crews invited to come out and vibe in The Berkeley Castle @ Distillery, in a fun, social manner before hitting the patio for 2 weeks!

Performances Line-up:

Starting off the night, our DJ will set the mood as guests arrive. The night continues with a live performance by Toronto hit band Club Cadetta with an epic projection light show, then showcase your vocals at karaoke or try your hand at the open mic. The night continues with live music before our raffle draw with fantastic prizes up for grabs: Dead Raccoon Merchandise, Tickets to 86 ME: THE RESTAURANT PLAY, local works of art, and more!

Activities Line-up:

Experience a night of interactive fun. Try your hand at our Giant Lite Brite wall from TouchSpark Studios, strike a pose at our photo backdrop, or play a game and make some new friends. Plus, don't forget to grab a themed drink at the bar while browsing our auction table. There's something for everyone to enjoy!

All funds raised support costs for 86 ME: THE RESTAURANT PLAY, a Toronto Fringe show taking place at Supermarket Bar and Variety from July 3rd to 14th, 2024. The cast and crew are engaged on a non-profit basis, so all funds raised will go toward paying actors a living wage and covering rehearsal costs.

86 ME captures the brutal yet romantic experience of Toronto's bartenders, staged in a bar for an immersive, hilarious, interactive tragicomedy with no scene breaks— Just like a busy night on shift! Order a beer from the actors during the show, at any time while they are acting!

DEAD RACCOON is an experimentory theatre and event company focusing on the intersection of live storytelling with a festive atmosphere. We activate underutilized urban spaces to create new work which focuses on small stories and forgotten characters others might not deem epic enough to be the centre of your evening.
