Unmasked Gala 2023

Since 2015 Healing Arts has been carrying out our mission to eliminate the stigma attached to receiving mental health services, specifically among culturally marginalized communities, and empower children, families, adults and the community through evidence-based therapies, leadership, academics, and research.

We do this by providing no-cost mental heath services to aid in the preventing child abuse, preserving families, and treat children who have been abused and/or neglected.

The Unmasked Gala, is located at GALLERYone - DoubleTree on the intracoastal waterway, less than a five-minute walk from Galleria Fort Lauderdale. The beach is a half-mile east and it's a five-mile drive to conventions and cruises at Port Everglades. The water taxi stops at this location giving you easy access to hotspots like Las Olas Boulevard. Look forward to a silent and live auction, live entertainment, specialty cocktails and a culinary experience.

Through the Unmasked Gala, business leaders, philanthropists, and difference makers come together in the spirit of camaraderie and collaboration to benefit marginalized and at-risk children and families served by Healing Arts Institute of South Florida.

The Unmasked Gala is a unique Dual experience for adults and their children . Start in their own ballroom learning about our organization and socializing with our partner community business leaders. In their own ballroom the children experience that allows for children to attend having their own mini masquerade! The children's masquerade is facilitated by healing arts therapists who make a memorable night for each child by providing structured and fun activities such as dancing, and play therapy activities that build social skills through therapeutic and interactive play: Art therapy, Music therapy, Sand play therapy, Puppet play, and Social / emotional games. Each child will receive an observation profile that highlights their strengths and abilities with strategies for consistent growth.
