Do you find yourself grappling with persistent emotional challenges after experiencing a brain injury? Are feelings of anxiety, depression, or overwhelming stress weighing you down? You're not alone.
Join us for a special session dedicated to helping shed light on how trauma can impact you after a traumatic experience. The session will help you to explore common emotional symptoms that may arise post-injury, such as:
? Persistent feelings of fear or unease
? Intense mood swings or irritability
? Difficulty concentrating or remembering
? Intrusive thoughts or flashbacks
? Struggles with sleep or appetite
Gain valuable insights into how trauma can exacerbate challenges post-injury and discover practical tips for managing these symptoms effectively.
Paula Moneypenny has a Master of Counselling (First Class Honours) from the University of Waikato, she is Registered Member of the NZ Association ofCounsellors (MNZAC). Paula is clinically trained in trauma recovery and suicide intervention. From a foundation of Narrative Therapy, she also utilises Compassionate Inquiry, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, CBT, DBT, ACT techniques; and teach skills such as developing mindful self-compassion, self-soothing skills, and relaxation.
Complementing Paula’s expertise and experience, she also has lived experience of brain injury which helps her to relate the knowledge she has to brain injury recovery.
