Based on insights from hundreds of one-on-one and group executive coaching sessions, and backed by cutting-edge research, this session reveals the obstacles often unspoken in the pursuit of career advancement in today's online and hybrid work environments.
What Makes This Workshop Unique?
In the modern era, social media and the virtual landscape play a pivotal role in career influence and growth. Yet, this topic is rarely addressed in traditional leadership development and research.
Drawing from our published research with Julian Birkinshaw at LBS, and stress-tested through 100s of coaching sessions, this masterclass takes you through a framework to navigate and leverage these digital dynamics effectively.
You will walk away with:

- A personalised visibility roadmap: to achieve focused profile shifts both online and offline which are aligned with your Career Vision
- A framework for securing sponsorship & making a ‘yes’ inevitable for your career, projects, and teams; and for making impactful asks within your organization, propelling you towards your personal and team goals.
- Interpersonal Toolkit: strategies to navigate delicate relational situations critical to career growth.
- Your unique influencing power unlocked: Harness your personal influencing style online and offline, fostering your authentic voice, thought leadership, and vision-based identity without compromise.
- Natural Impact: Learn to be impactful in high-stakes or challenging situations while staying true to yourself, without the need to 'put on a mask.'

This workshop will run for 3 hours between 9.30am and 12.30pm with opportunities for networking before and after. Please only sign up if you can commit to the full 3 hours.
About your Facilitator: Maya Gudka
An economist-turned-executive coach, Maya brings a rare combination of business and coaching psychology insight – backed by her published research with top LBS and Harvard faculty, and stress tested with now 1000s of executive coaching clients.
This enables clients to advance their careers with high impact, in line with their values and, importantly, without burnout. The unique aspect of Maya’s approach is that it draws on the stuff executives share in the safety of 1-1 or small group coaching – with all the ‘what ifs’ and ‘buts’.
Her published research takes these questions as the starting point, e.g. how social media can be used constructively and how leaders can really grow their careers in a hybrid world.
Whilst particularly in demand with Financial Services clients, Maya maintains a range of client industries to draw from diverse worlds in service of her coaching clients. Clients range from start-ups, musicians, social workers and doctors, to CEOs, Hedge Funds, Insurance companies & Private Equity. Sony Music, British Airways, Google, KPMG,E&Y, SAGE, TATA Consulting, NHS & Miele are some of the better-known names on her Executive Coaching client list.
After receiving a 1st from Cambridge University, the first 10 years of her career were spent in high pressure banking and consulting environments at Goldman Sachs, PwC and KPMG. The last 12 years have been spent in leadership development & coaching, first as Director of London Business School’s Leadership & Strategy portfolio, and now running an independent coaching practice.
She is accredited at the highest level (EMCC Master) – representing a mastery in coaching expertise, hours coached and contribution to the profession. She shares her insights on her podcast: ‘The Executive Coach’. This rapidly became a top 2.5% podcast globally, ranked in the Apple Podcast Charts.
