NOSY NEIGHBORS, YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT ISSSS....
After multiple back-to-back sold out shows across Los Angeles, Youtube's "That’s Hollywood, Baby" is bringing back its wildly chaotic interactive comedy experience: "UNLICENSED/UNSOLICITED!" — the show where the star is YOU...especially if you love to overshare.
Created and hosted by River Johnson and Laurel Kathleen of "That's Hollywood, Baby," the show invites audience members to confess their deepest secrets, worst decisions, petty grievances, dating disasters, workplace drama, unhinged thoughts, crossroads, and even ask the age old question..."Am I the a$$hole?" through custom “patient intake forms” filled out before the show begins.
Anything goes...as long as it's JUICY!
Then? A rotating lineup of comedians, drag performers, characters, and special guests attempt to solve complete strangers’ problems despite being deeply unqualified to do so. But hey, they've seen some sh**. So, it's basically like they're qualified, right? (In this economy, do you have a better option?)
But our cast of comics will not be the ONLY therapists. Oh, no, no, no. YOU will also be clocking in to help our "lucky" patients using interactive audience voting paddles that can get your voice heard group therapy style.
Using crowd participation, all star comedians, voting paddles, alcohol, and unpredictable confessions pulled live throughout the night, every single show becomes its own beautiful train wreck. Think late-night comedy show meets a sleepover where everyone suddenly begins oversharing. Yasssssss!
No two shows are ever the same.
HOSTED BY:
RIVER C. JOHNSON (The Comedy Store, The Improv, Character Assassination) is a queer Los Angeles based comedian, producer, and the creative force and founder of "That's Hollywood, Baby" and has become known for creating highly interactive, community-driven comedy events that blur the line between performance, party, and complete social experiment. His interactive live productions have featured comedians, drag performers, musicians, DJs, immersive audience participation, and large-scale themed experiences across venues throughout Los Angeles.
JUNE ARTIST TO WATCH:
LAUREL KATHLEEN (The Improv, Character Assassination, Re-Visitor) is a queer Los Angeles-based comedian, performer, and a co-producer of "That’s Hollywood, Baby" and "Unlicensed/Unsolicited" where she has helped build live productions, comedy shows, and original performances since the company’s early beginnings. Known for her commitment to character-driven comedy and emotionally chaotic performance energy, Laurel brings a grounded unpredictability to the world of "That's Hollywood, Baby"
JUNE THERAPISTS:
KRISTIN CHIRICO (Buzzfeed, Netflix Is A Joke, The Kitchen and Jorn Show) is a queer Cayuga and Seneca Indigenous comedian, writer, and YouTuber. She was a BuzzFeed writer and content creator for almost seven years, starring in Ladylike and The Empty Suitcase Show for Facebook Watch. Chirico and fellow BuzzFeed alum Jen Ruggirello later launched their own YouTube channel, The Kitchen & Jorn Show, which focuses on food and fashion.
RAY EARL (Double Down, Hamburger Mary's, The Yellow Door) is a Southern, down-home Detroit voice with something to say, Ray blends sharp humor with real perspective — delivering comedy that doesn’t just make you laugh…it pulls you in. Influenced by legends like Earthquake and John Mulaney (and his grandma), his style is fearless, expressive, and unapologetically original. Ray has been performing since 2010 and has taken his voice across the country — from comedy clubs to Pride stages nationwide — connecting with audiences through humor that’s both hilarious and meaningful.
JAMIE HENDRIX (The Jamie Hendrixxx Experience, Hollywood Improv, Comedy Store) is a Los Angeles based up & coming comedian and the creator of "The Jamie Hendrixxx Experience" who has graced the stages of The Laugh Factory, The Hollywood Improv, Ontario Improv, Comedy Store, West Side Comedy Theater, and is a regular emcee at Flappers and Laugh After Dark Los Angeles residency.
