The concert presented by the University Singers, focusing on the Three Laws of Robotics and featuring the music of Vienna Teng, promises to be a thought-provoking and unique experience. The Three Laws of Robotics, conceived by science fiction author Isaac Asimov in 1942, serve as a framework to prevent robots and artificial intelligence from malfunctioning.
Under the guidance of Dr. Francis Cathlina, director of choral activities, the University Singers delve into the nuances of these laws through their musical exploration. By centering their performance around a piece composed by Taiwanese-American musician Vienna Teng, the choir adds an artistic and contemporary dimension to this science fiction theme. Teng's music combines beautiful melodies with thought-provoking lyrics, providing a rich and engaging musical experience for performers and audience members.

This is the University Singers’ home concert before their state performance at the Tennessee Music Educators Association conference. They will share the stage with a local high school.
ADMISSION: $20
