University of Suffolk Unlocked: Community Collaborations
About this Event
As part of the University of Suffolk Unlocked* series, Community Collaborations will bring together our staff, students, community groups, local practitioners, policy makers, large and grass-roots organisations to better understand local needs and offerings to facilitate meaningful collaborations in research and public engagement. Including:
- Informative talks from our Research Institutes for Social Justice & Crime, and Health & Wellbeing on the importance of co-producing research with the community
- Looking at what public engagement is and why it is important for research and knowledge exchange
- Why research matters and becoming familiar with central research and evaluation concepts
- Panel discussion on what good community engagement looks like and how this creates meaningful connections
- Examples of local research projects to inspire ideas for future collaborative projects
- Opportunity to share your views - matching local needs with local offers
