UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND BIG BAND

Get ready for a night of fantastic music presented by the University of Auckland Big Band, directed by Ben Gailer.
This band of rising stars from the University of Auckland jazz department are looking forward to presenting works by composers such as Thad Jones, Bob Brookmeyer, Neal Hefti and Gordon Goodwin, along with the first public performances of several student arrangements.
We will also showcase several graduating students in an intimate small-ensemble setting, who will present material they are preparing for their third-year recitals. Don’t miss this unforgettable night of great music.
