The University of Adelaide’s international award-winning Big Band (and guest vocalist) directed by Dusty Cox and the Latin Ensemble directed by acclaimed composer/arranger/pianist and Head of Jazz at the Elder Conservatorium Mark Ferguson will be performing at Eliza Hall, Payinthi on Friday 14 April 2023 for one night only!Both ensembles have a long history at the Elder Conservatorium and literally thousands of jazz students have experienced exciting music from all eras in these ensembles, including composers Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Thad Jones, Bob Brookmeyer, Maria Schneider and much more in the big band and Tito Puente, Ray Santos, Cal Tjader and our own Mark Ferguson’s world-class composing in the Latin Ensemble.
