Sam Tanenhaus, former editor of the New York Times Book Review Section, 2004-2013, will discuss William Buckley's life and times. He'll detail the many roles Buckley played as a political and cultural influencer, including editor of National Review, the 20th century's most influential political journal; syndicated columnist; Emmy-winning TV debater; bestselling spy novelist; ally of Joseph McCarthy and Barry Goldwater; and mentor to Ronald Reagan.The University Forum Lecture Series is organized by UNLV's College of Liberal Arts
