Welcome to the annual UNA-OC "UN Day" Gala Dinner, where we'll be celebrating the 80th anniversary of the United Nations! Now, more than ever, We Need the UN, and the UN Needs US!
Come join us on Sat, Oct 25, 202 at 5:00 PM for pre-event appetizers at the University Of California, Irvine - Department of Continuing Education for a celebration commemorating the founding of the United Nations in the U.S. in 1945.
The program will feature keynote speakers who will bring both a Global as well as a Local perspective on today's reality that the UN is facing, as well as positive initiatives for how we can advance the SDGs and human rights here at home. It will also highlight UNA-OC's Sustainable Impact Alliance (SIA) signature program, to localize the "SDG Model" here throughout Orange County and beyond by implementing the latest technologies with a Data Dashboard on SDG #11, Sustainable Cities and Communities.
We will also be presenting "Sustainability Excellence" awards to leaders from each of our key industry sectors here in OC, (Government, Business, Academia, Nonprofit), recognizing their commitment to the SDGs.
