About this Event
Mark the UN’s 80th anniversary with an afternoon that blends community, art, and thoughtful dialogue. We’ll celebrate how far global cooperation has come since 1945—and talk frankly about what it will take to meet the challenges ahead.
What you’ll experience
- SDG Art Showcase: Acrylic artworks by Willett Elementary students (Mrs. Renee Neal’s 6 th grade class), with a few students sharing the SDG connections behind their pieces.
- UCD Global Affairs Intern Presentations: Brief, engaging presentations from UC Davis Global Affairs interns, connecting real-world UN work to the SDGs.
- Virtual Keynote: Jarrett James Lash, UNA-USA 14th Youth Observer to the United Nations—a community planner and housing strategist focused on equitable, sustainable communities—reflects on the UN’s successes, present headwinds, and what’s next.
Appetizers and light refreshments will be served following the event during the networking and mingling period.
A portion of proceeds will support UNICEF after costs are covered—because local action can drive global impact.
