THIS PROJECT IS FULL AND CLOSED FOR REGISTRATIONSeptember 11, 2023, marks 22 years since the devastating terrorist attacks of 9/11/01. In the wake of 9/11, a generation of veterans answered the call to serve with The Mission Continues. In the 22 years since 9/11, veterans have continued to step up.
The Mission Continues strives to assemble a meaningful project every year around 9/11 weekend. This year, the Phoenix Service Platoon will have projects at multiple locations on the same day. For this project, we are partnering with the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation to improve the facilities at South Mountain Park.
Project specifics are still being determined though we will be working with a Park Ranger on some type of project to further enhance the beauty of the park.
Please arrive by 07:45 am for check-in. The meeting location is TBD.
It is highly recommended to wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. Please bring sun protection. TMC will provide sunscreen and water.
