Union with Christ Seminar with Dr. Beale

Throughout the New Testament Christians are said to be in union with Christ. What does this practically mean for the believer? What does it mean in Ephesians when Paul uses "In Christ" over and over again? Is our adoption into God's family based on our union with Christ?
