🥾 ABOUT THE WALK 🥾

Starting from the main car park we will head towards the lake. You may be wondering why we have called this the “whale walk” – when you look at the map, it is shaped like a whale, that is the only reason. As far as I am aware there are no whales in the lake…. but you never know! We also walk over the golden glow bridge which is very pretty at this time of year.

This is a nice easy walk and the terrain is mainly paved. We will walk along the lake, up to the rafting centre and then make our way back to the main car park in a full loop, stopping for sweets along the way.

Please arrive by 6.15 pm we will set off at 6.30 pm sharp. If this is your first AG walk, then please arrive nice and early and seek out the walk leader who will be wearing a red "walk leader" pin badge. They will give you a new walkers briefing and explain how it all works.

🎒 WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU

• A torch is essential (no head torches please)
• Bright clothing (or hi-vis vest)
• A drink
• Good footwear please.

⛑ RULES TO KEEP YOU SAFE :

• We walk in all weathers, however, if we have a weather warning then the event may be cancelled. Keep an eye on your emails and the Facebook event page for notifications of any cancellations.
• We will only ever walk in groups of 15 or less. If we have more than 15, we will usually have two walk leaders and walk in opposite directions.
• We supply free sweets at the halfway stage.
