About this Event
Unholy Racket is the music loving alter-ego of Neil Chapman. As a failed musician, he turned his attention to combining his love of live gigs with a new-found interest in photography.
Neil has photographed many bands over the years, particularly (but not exclusively) those that fall into the "Goth" subculture. He will be showing us some of his photos taken at local venues.
He has worked with Yorkshire Post, Louder Than War, Soundsphere, The Leeds List, Leeds Music Scene, and Counterfeit Magazine. Alongside those publications he has been the House Photographer at O2 Academy Leeds for over a decade. His work with artists includes The Mission, The Mark Violets, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, New Model Army, Terrorvision, and many more…
He is a trustee of Leeds Music Trust and is passionate about supporting access to music for all. He has worked with many up and coming young bands in and around the Leeds area. His most recent studio work can be seen on Embrace’s album ‘How To Be A Person Like Other People’.
This talk is hosted by Leeds Photographic Society, the world's oldest organised photographic society founded in 1852. The society is a friendly group of enthusiasts, from beginners to professional photographers and welcomes new members of all skill levels. See our website for more information.
