Unholy Comedy - An immersive R-Rated night of stand-up comedy, audience tarot readings, oddities, and more, premiering at Tampa’s newest and most Instagramable event venue, Ashbriar Abbey, at Alchemy & Ashes in Lutz.

Comedians Hugh Carey and Lauren Gray (as seen at The Comedy Store's Roast Battle with Jeff Ross) are bringing a new and unusual comedy experience to Alchemy & Ashes’ new Gothic event space, Ashbriar Abbey. Their new show -- Unholy Comedy, incorporates the beautiful aesthetics of Ashbriar Abbey to provide an immersive and interactive comedy experience perfect for the Halloween season. The inside of the venue is a mix between an old dilapidated church mixed with a mausoleum, with a hint of occult added in for good measure.

Expect sinful R-Rated and dark stand up comedy sets that will make you clutch your rosary, devilish priests and nuns, and a dip into the occult as your hosts lightheartedly provide audience tarot readings between comedy sets.

Sinners brave enough to venture out to this limited seating event will be escorted in by the comedians dressed as unholy priests and nuns, ushered through the purgatory foyer (not without being absolved of their sins first, of course), and released into the Ashbriar Abbey proper for the show. Make sure your phone is fully charged, you will definitely be taking pictures in there!

Come and meander through the elaborate museum of mystical oddities found within the various rooms and corridors of the space before and after the show, snap some selfies, sit for a spell, and be prepared for a night of sinful fun.

Guests are encouraged to BYOB, dress up, come early and stay late to take pictures in the beautifully gothic Ashbriar Abbey and shop in the adjacent parlor of magical curiosities, Alchemy & Ashes - a metaphysical shop with everything from candles, crystals, and tarot to carefully curated aesthetic oddities; perfect for decorating for the Halloween season!

• Stephen Henry (2021 Creative Loafing Best Up and Coming Comedian & 2019 Florida’s Funniest Semifinalist)
• As well as a special guest set from Carley Marissa Dummit.
