Experience an evening of boundary-pushing sound and immersive performance with Unheard-of Ensemble, a Brooklyn-based quartet known for their adventurous blend of new music, technology, and multimedia. This special program unfolds in two parts across the McNay’s galleries and grounds.
The evening begins with solo and duo performances by ensemble members—clarinet, violin, cello, and piano—each paired with specific artworks in four galleries. In the second half, all four musicians unite outdoors to perform original compositions by student composers from their annual Collaborative Composition Initiative. This free event invites you to explore how music and visual art resonate in shared space and time.
