Three perspectives. One stage. Conversations that matter.
Join us for an exclusive, insightful afternoon as we bring together three distinct pillars of Indian photojournalism to explore the art, ethics, and future of authentic visual storytelling. In an era of digital manipulation, capturing the raw, unposed reality of our society is more vital than ever.
Meet Our Esteemed Panelists
Mukesh Parpiani
A towering figure in Indian photojournalism, Mukesh Parpiani has shaped the visual narrative of the nation through his decades of work. Having served as the photo editor for leading publications such as The Daily, Mid-Day, and The Indian Express, he brings the raw instinct, urgency, and rigorous ethics of frontline news photography to the stage. Today, as the head of the Piramal Art Gallery at the NCPA in Mumbai, he continues to be a driving force in archiving and exhibiting the photographic arts.
Chirodeep Chaudhuri
A celebrated documentary photographer and author, Chirodeep Chaudhuri is renowned for his deep, long-term archival projects that meticulously document urban landscapes and cultural shifts, particularly in Mumbai. With extensive editorial leadership experience—including tenures as the editor of photography at Time Out Mumbai and National Geographic Traveller India—he champions "slow journalism," community trust, and the profound power of contextual storytelling.
K. M. Pillai
A highly respected visionary in the editorial and photographic community, K. M. Pillai brings a critical curatorial eye to the panel. His extensive experience in evaluating, curating, and shaping visual narratives offers invaluable insights into the standards of modern photojournalism and how authentic imagery is selected, consumed, and preserved in today's fast-paced media landscape.
