Every third Monday, Unfamiliar Sessions takes on Cole’s Bar to bring in community for a night of music, drinks, and eats by Jade Thee Chef. All Musicians and creatives are welcome, and the result is raw, unscripted, and genuinely collaborative — R&B, soul, jazz, and everything in between, shaped by whoever's in the room that night.
What started as a single monthly night has grown into a broader platform, including curated showcases and out-of-state performances under the Unfamiliar Sessions name. But the jam remains the heart of it — the place where the whole thing started, and where Chicago's creative community keeps coming back.
