Unearth a Story at your community library with the Utah Museum of Fine Arts! Nurture your curiosity, feed your imagination, and embrace the joy of discovery. Join the UMFA at Sprague Branch of The City Library to paint terracotta.
The UMFA’s pottery collection is a treasure of ancient vases, pots, and dishes made from terracotta. Fun fact: Terracotta means “baked earth” in Italian! Find inspiration in these ancient artworks to decorate your own terracotta dishes.
Please note that this event takes place in the Children’s Library and is meant for families with children only. Adults are welcome at all other UMFA workshops. Check out Third Saturday for Families, Open Studio for Adults, or Drop-in Drawing Disco events this summer!
