The evening will resemble a Beaujolais nouveau event, except that the one at Lucid Winery has had time to age to perfection. Keynote presentation in dual languages, meaningful French songs with subtitles, and bi-cultural observations to make us all appreciate the life that God has gifted us all.
The doors are open at 3:45 pm and the music starts from 4 30 pm until 10 pm at which time you are welcome to head home or continue your evening elsewhere.
NO cover but 1 drink minimum per person to help our venue.
... there are Non Alcoholic drinks available as well.
There will be some French crepes but there isn't a budget to provide food for everyone. If you bring a potlach offering please including the ingredients in case anyone has dietary restrictions.

An amazing evening of French presentations by a local Sacramento DJ who has been studying French culture at Penn State University since 2023 and has found AMAZING authentic moments of beauty to share with us.
Music with French lyrics and English subtitles, Savory and Sweet Crepes and appetizer-type French food, and French short stories and poems with subtitles to be shared to include everyone at all levels.
For the French experts, we will have a worthy trivia quiz; for newcomers, there will be beginner games to learn some basic French. Feel free to bring your own Board games and just have fun.
A multimedia presentation created by Julian Vitaglione will showcase his studies on French Identity and the nuances of being French, with humor, as we dive into the language, music, and food, and learn what he discovered as he read many books in college.
Subjects such as Anarchy, Sadism, Good manners, Politics, and Decolonial studies will be on the agenda, but we guarantee that the energy behind this event is to pay tribute to FRENCH culture and amplify its beauty to the fullest, for the enjoyment of whoever shows up with respect and open minds.
French film clips, music trivia, dance party, and fun games for all levels will complement a private wine tasting with the owner and winemaker himself, Kevin Luther, and it will be translated into French by Julian Vitaglione.
My last Beaujolais Nouveau festival was for the Alliance Francaise in Sacramento, CA, when their French Alliance gave me the Honor of DJing their Festival on November 11, 2014. The 500 people who attended heard some old French music, and my dear friend Matt brought his Pioneer turntables so we could keep people dancing all evening. I never knew how beautiful my French heritage could be until I gave the world a show that evening.
The best compliments are the dancers who know the words of every song you play; the glory keeps me going. Vive la France.
