Understanding Trauma for Carers

Working closely with others' pain and trauma can take a silent toll. This workshop will explore how carers can better understand trauma;- including how traumatic experiences can affect emotions, behaviour, relationships, and development.
Participants will explore the impact of trauma on both those they support and themselves, recognising signs of stress, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma.
This course will take place in WAVE's Nevara centre in Belfast on Wednesday 10th June, and will run from 10.00am - 4.00pm.
