Our team presents a ground-breaking, full day event for those who are involved with maternity services within the NHS or in private settings, to understand surrogacy from a fresher, more inclusive approach. Featuring guest speakers, experts and other healthcare professionals exploring all the components of a journey to parenthood, via surrogacy – which includes you!
The course is aimed at midwives, maternity support workers, healthcare professionals, neonatal nurses, paediatricians, ODP's, NMC Registrants and students, as well as doctors and GP's.
You will learn about surrogacy and the different types available. The transition from fertility services to maternity care, latest surrogacy laws including the brand new draft bill and even the parental order. We will also cover diversity and inclusive language, as well as emotional support, the gaps in education and building a ‘good’ surrogacy policy. What does good actually look like? There will also be a fantastic opportunity to hear the personal stories from parents through surrogacy as well as surrogates themselves.
There will be plenty of time to network during breaks, to include opportunity to meet with our presenters face to face.
