SUPER EXCITING NEWS!!!We are having a very special event on Sept. 3 aimed at helping you, our supporters, walk a mile in the shoes of our students.
You'll work in a small group to solve challenges as "Beverly," "Jada," "Kim," or another imaginary woman trying to navigate life without sufficient resources.
Visit the employment station to see if you can get a job. Figure out what bus line to ride to the grocery store. Try to find somewhere to live within your budget.
This fast-paced, interactive experience is designed to increase understanding and empathy of our neighbors' experiences and spur conversations. You'll learn more about the challenges women face right here in Roanoke, as well as how House of Bread helps -- and how you can join our efforts!
