Bill 194, also known as The Strengthening Cyber Security and Building Trust in the Public Sector Act, 2024, is a crucial piece of legislature. This new legislation is all about boosting the security of our digital information and making sure government services are safe from cyber threats. It's a big step forward in protecting personal data and ensuring we can trust public systems.
Computek College and the Scarborough Business Association are hosting a free hands-on workshop on Bill 194 for governments, industry, and community stakeholders in and around Scarborough to understand the proposed changes and its impacts on your operations.
Workshops are open to senior public sector officials, C-suite business executives, and departmental managers and staff responsible for I,IT&ITS areas.
This unique workshop covers everything you need to know about the Bill, including:
- Understand key components of Bill 194
- Learn the new requirements for cybersecurity monitoring
- Develop reporting protocols to comply with the legislation
- Discuss practical steps for implementing these changes in our organization
