About this Event

The 2024 Emerging Leaders Learning & Networking Series is a comprehensive series designed to empower emerging leaders in community development with essential knowledge and skills across various topics. This series covers key areas critical to fostering sustainable and inclusive communities, providing attendees with the tools they need to make a lasting impact in their respective fields.

Throughout the series, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with industry experts, participate in interactive workshops, and collaborate with their peers. By the end of the series, they will have an understanding of community devleopment and health equity, housing finance and development, fee-based lending, and nonprofit financials. Equipped with this knowledge, attendees will be well-prepared to drive positive change in their communities and shape a more equitable and sustainable future for all.

Session 4: Understanding Nonprofit Financials

Join us for an insightful training session designed to help community development professionals better understand how a nonprofit operates. This session will explore nonprofit financial managment, with insights into how an actual nonprofit plans its annual budget. Also, this session will explore how to advance your career in the community development field, with tips and tricks provided by our speakers.
