About this Event
Join us for a FREE community talk with renowned psychologist, Dr. Alex Russell as he explores key issues affecting children today:
- Anxiety in children – how to understand it, support kids in developing healthy anxiety rather than anxiety disorders, and manage our own parental anxiety in the process.
- Screen time and children’s mental health – the real dangers of screens, how to set healthy limits, and ways to support balanced use without feeling like “the bad guy” all the time.
- The parent–child–teacher triangle – how the relationship between these three influences a child’s growth and success.
- The evolving role of parents – what children need from us at different stages, and how to know when to step back and let them take more responsibility.
- Building resiliency – helping children develop into self-reliant, responsible, and engaged young adults ready to take on the world.
Doors open at 6:10 PM. Talk starts promptly at 6:30 PM.
Registration is required.
