Understanding Menopause - Awareness Session for VCSEs

Understanding Menopause will help attendees to get to grips with:

• What menopause is, when it happens and why it happens.
• The diversity of experience.
• Symptoms and potential impacts to physical and mental health.
• Menopause management options.
• How you can support clients/service users.

Menopause Support is a community interest company founded by Diane Danzebrink. Diane Danzebrink is a personal and corporate consultant, speaker, educator and author, passionate about menopause and mental health. She is the founder of the community interest company Menopause Support and has led the call for better menopause care and support in the U.K. with her national #MakeMenopauseMatter campaign. The campaign has been instrumental in ensuring that menopause has been added to the curriculum in schools in England and that all medical students will be taught about menopause from 2024.

Menopause Support provides 1-1 support for individuals, menopause workplace training, support for over 35,000 women in their online community and lots of free resources available to everyone via menopausesupport.co.uk.

About Diane:

Diane has a background in therapy, professional nurse training in menopause and is a member of the British Menopause Society and a trustee of the Menopause education and Research fund. Her book Making Menopause Matter was published by Sheldon Press in May 2024 to critical acclaim so she is well placed to answer any questions you might have about menopause.
