About this Event
Landscape photography is one of the most popular genres. With every holiday you've taken, and just around the neighborhood, there are many opportunities to capture that perfect landscape photo. However, most beginning photographers lack confidence and a little bit of knowledge to capture beautiful scenes.
The class is for anyone who seeks to improve their skills in photographing landscapes. We will discuss camera equipment, planning out locations, explain the depth of field, and cover exposure settings. Also, you will learn basic compositional techniques you can apply to improve your photos. The course includes handouts, simple photo editing techniques, and numerous real-life examples.
Requirements:
- Bring your camera for some limited hands-on with your menu system. It would help if you had either a DSLR or Mirrorless system.
PhotoPills is a handy app for most smartphones for the landscape photographer for $9.99 in most App Stores. The class covers some of the app's features, but it is not a requirement for the course.
What to expect: Bring your camera along with a fully charged battery and a memory card. Social distancing practices are in effect. The classroom holds for 3 to 4 students placed 6 feet apart. The presentation does involve a certain level of personal interaction with the instructor, so please wear a mask. Bring your questions and something to write with.
