About this Event
Please join Domino Foundation's forum Interracial Adoption for Grandparents & Family. As parents, we cannot do this job alone! We need the support of grandparents and extended family. But they need to understand racism, the inherent trauma of adoption, and how to properly address issues of race and identity.
Join a gathering of interracial adoption grandparents and extended family to learn, make connection, and build community while breaking bread together. Facilitated by founders of the Domino Foundation, Curtis & Melody Linton, this will be an informative session for all involved. We will also have an adult interracial adoptee (TRA) share their story of adoption, birth family, and identity.
A light dinner will be served at this in-person event that offers a safe space for grandparents and extended family to ask questions, learn about language, discuss challenges, and build mutual understanding. Whatever your understanding or the age of your adopted grandchild, join Domino as we address these issues in a safe and honest forum.
Please RSVP. Attendance is free. Suggested donation of $25.
