Understanding How Anxiety Shows Up
Why does anxiety affect us the way it does? Why can it show up in our bodies, thoughts, feelings and actions — sometimes when we don't even understand why?
Join Liz Hooper and Edith Moore for the first workshop in Recovery College's new six-part Exploring Anxiety series.
In this first one-hour workshop, we'll explore:
✨ What anxiety is and why we experience it
✨ Some of the different ways anxiety can show up
✨ Things that may set anxiety off
✨ Anxiety and panic
✨ How to begin noticing what happens for you
✨ Some approaches that may help
The aim is to help anxiety make a little more sense and to recognise that you're not the only one experiencing this. Anxiety is part of being human, and it can show up differently for each of us.
This is a welcoming, low-pressure workshop. There is no pressure to speak — you're welcome to simply listen.
