Understanding Florida's Cottage Food & Cosmetic Exemptions for BeekeepersThinking about selling your honey or hive-based creations? Join us for a an informative evening as we explore how Florida’s Cottage Food Law and Cosmetic Manufacturing Exemption apply to beekeepers.
In Florida, small-scale honey producers can bottle and sell honey directly from their home kitchens, no license required, thanks to the Cottage Food Law. But what about making and selling value-added products like soaps, lotions, or lip balms?
Jenn Hagen from UF/IFAS will break it all down for us! She’ll walk us through what’s allowed, what’s not.
Whether you’re a hobbyist or dreaming of turning your hive into a side hustle, this is one meeting you won’t want to miss!
