About this Event
About the workshop
As creative practitioners, we are called on to consider what we make: the tools and materials we use and the goals we pursue. This workshop aims to transform the participants’ understanding of the material and the digital world, showing how they are linked to each other through energy usage and the needs and capabilities of our bodies.
Drawing on examples from contemporary art, architecture, industrial design, and engineering, it will give participants tools to critically consider both the hype and the contention around emerging computationally intensive technologies like AI. They will leave the workshop with a deeper, actionable understanding of energy and materials, enabling them to make more nuanced and informed decisions in their creative practice and in their communities.

The workshop is aimed at professional creators/artists and requires that you be employed by or represent a registered company based in Skåne.
