Join us for a presentation by Muhannad Ayyash and Jeremy Wildeman co-editors of Canada As A Settler Colony On The Question Of Palestine. Their book was the winner of the 2024 Canadian Studies Network prize for Best Edited Collection in Canadian Studies. Their talk will examine the historical and political reasons for Canada's complicity in the fifteen-month Israeli genocidal assault against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. We explore how Canadian settler colonialism informs and shapes Canada's policies in regards to Israel and Palestine. Their presentation will be followed by a time for questions. Registration isn't required but will help us plan for seating and refreshments.
