Does your child struggle with Sensory Differences? How about an opportunity to chat with other parents and make resources that might help?
About this Event

Does your child struggle with loud noises, itchy tags in their clothing? Perhaps you have a thrill seeker who's always running, jumping and looking for more adventure.

All these can be clues to help you understand how your child is processing the information from the world around them.

Our discussion sessions complement our "Understanding and Supporting" series of workshops and follow the same themes. They are an ideal follow up if you have already attended the workshop and would like more time to chat about what you have learned, but will be equally as useful if you haven’t attended a workshop and just want to know more about understanding and supporting sensory differences.

Our discussion sessions offer an introduction to the topic along with the chance to meet other families and share tips and ideas. They offer more time to chat than our workshops, so please do join the conversation. This is a safe space to share questions, worries and tips that have been working for you.

In this discussion session we will:

?Explore what sensory processing is and how sensory differences may affect your child?

?Learn about the 8 senses (yes 8!)

?Share strategies and ideas to help sensory differences

?Have resources for you to make some sensory toys/tools to take home and use with your child.

If you would like more in depth information, look out for the workshop events.

This session is for families with children aged 0 - 25. Your child doesn't need a diagnosis for you to attend.

This 2-hour session will be delivered at Our Community Base in Kingswood.

There is limited parking at the venue for blue badge holders. On street parking is available in the local area.

Tea and coffee will be provided, please let us know if you have any additional requirements.

This session is only available to residents of South Glos. Please book a maximum of 2 tickets per family.
